See here for a brief review of the new version of what has been for years my recommendation to students, friends and anyone else who will listen as the one Photoshop plugin you really, really should get if you only get one PS plugin.
I just downloaded my upgrade, and on a brief acquaintance it seems to have a much improved interface (a window they're calling the PKS Toolbox), and some new Creative sharpeners including a set of Midtone Contrast adjustments I think I'll use a lot in soft-proofing for print - see the attached image, showing the new Midtone settings and the Toolbox UI
It also looks to be possible to "batch" multiple PKS effects, which presumably means you can go from adding Capture sharpening straight to adding Creative sharpener(s), and on - should you so wish - to adding Output sharpening. As in PKS1 all effects will be returned as layer sets allowing for opacity control and masking to localise.
PKS 2 is now available for download here
Disclaimer: I have no connection with PixelGenius, other than that of being a very happy customer since I first began to work on digital imaging in Photoshop six or seven years ago
Regards
