Last year a group of us took advantage of the free registration and had a meet-up at the Javits Center before going to a scheduled regular meet-up at Puck Fair.

October 27th is a Saturday so save the date. When I get sent a link for the free registration I'll get someone who is not digitally inept like me to create a link.

Last year because of Jeff we got two free rolls of Kodak film instead of just one.

I think the (Kodak) guy felt a little guilty after I worked him over.

I was able to play around with the Leica M-Monochrom today at a seminar at B&H. (Thanks Jim Wagner).. WOW.. Loved it.. The improved Dynamic Range, clean higher ISO, and general feel were very impressive.

CAL............ This may be your baby :)

Jeff,

Just push me off the edge. Anyways I'm going to get a 20X24 fiber wet print made from a 6x9 negative to keep me in film.

What makes me interested in the M9M is that I think I have the perfect glass already, and I just have to sell some gear to have the cash. What scares me is the steep learning curve for PP.

Anyways: 28 Cron, 35/1.8 Nikkor in LTM, 35 Summaron, 35 Cron V.4, 50 Lux ASPH, 75 Lux...

Of course I need a grip on my M9M. LOL.

Cal, I'm going to by the MM and then hand color my photos... cool huh? ;)

I use to be a painter decades ago. Gave it up after a decade of stuggle, but after I quit painting a gallery tracked me down from some slides I had at Artist Space. It felt good rejecting them.

My paintings were both big and heavy, and moving around in a homeless manner broke me. That's partially why I don't mind carry big heavy pimped out cameras.

Bumping this thread.

This will be a very exciting show for me. A M9M delivery is expected perhaps in November. Currently I'm number 16 on a list.
