I carried the ZD 50-200 and EC-14 for my walk in the park Saturday morning, hoping to try my luck at shooting a couple of birds. Not a bird in the sky the entire time I was there. Such it is, I looked for new ways of seeing my usual subjects. :)

The ZD 50-200 + EC-14 is a big, long lens, the HLD7 fitted to the E-M1 accommodates it very nicely making a reasonable size package. Focusing was quick and sure, both manual and auto; sharpness and clarity excellent. The image stabilization makes getting crisp sharp images without camera motion blur a piece of cake.

Thanks for looking, comments always appreciated.

I particularly like your first image Godfrey.
Ever since it was announced, I've been very keen on an EM-1. These threads on RFF don't help. I've got Zuiko Digital 14-35mm, 35-100mm and 150mm lenses that transform my E-5 (and E-500!), but I can only imagine just what they would be capable of with the EM-1's sensor. Wouldn't mind the smaller form factor too...

I'd like one of the 150/2 lenses too. :)

I have my own bw rendering setup, working from raw files, so everything I post is made from raw unless I list it specifically otherwise.

Thank you both for commenting.

Nice set! The wall is my favorite! Really nice composition!

I guess I have to get over the little flying donuts in the background though.

best!

One stop further down and the donuts turn into discs. I had forgotten that ... they don't bother me but it does look nicer with discs.
