Photos from my new Nokton 50

I can't tell anything more than you at this point, as I've only shot the two rolls (mostly wide open, and carelessly exposed). I just wanted to share some photos, not conduct a lens test. Although, on the next roll I shoot I may do some side-by-side comparisons with the J-8.

Fair 'nough. I was curious, having shot a J8 and thinking about the Nokton. Not interested in lens tests--you can get those plenty of places--just personal thoughts, with concrete discussion of particular elements in particular photos.

I'm pretty sure the following are from my Nokton...and the sharpness even at these sizes I think is pretty good. The full-size scans show it even more.

Not too shabby. Also, I like this crosswalk sign. Strictly pictorially, the arrows pointing at each other are nice, but isolating the imperative ("Push button for ") with just the street marking for context makes it really shine by feeding the feeling of the arbitrariness of it. It could be instructions on a vending machine in the soilent green era, for all the evidence there. Heh.

thanks :).

I like the Soylent Green reference. I was obviously trying to isolate the particular subject to put it out of context, but that really turns things on its head. I should rename the photo now :).
