I received a cheap Chinese NEX-Pentax K mount adapter today. Here are some shots with the SMC M 28mm f2.8. It's a fairly soft lens in low light with wide apertures, but not bad at all and it gives a 42mm equivalence on the NEX.

The Exmoor sensor is not blowing out the sky as I have seen with some other cameras.

Food for thought.
I have a few Pentax lenses hanging around at present ...fifty ,100 and 120.
Nice shots of Bath ,my favorite city.
Just trying to place the middle shot... cannot remember which part of town.

I've really been enjoying these posts.

I think, looking through your flickr, that the Planar/Nex combo is something quite nice. You have some magical photos with that set up.

I have a 1.4 and 1.7 50mm as well. Not tried them yet but the Ziess 50mm ZM is so good I am not that bothered about the 50s.

Lots of photographic moments in Bath. These were taken in Weston village (west of the City) this morning. I live nearer the centre and if you click on my signature you will see a whole bunch of more considered photos from the area.

Why, thank you for the encouragement. This forum and others have been a great help to me in deciding on camera/lens investments so I will keep posting here as I discover more, to help those that might follow. ;)

Riverdog,
Very nice! In fact I just got back from Columbus Camera Group, where I picked up a Minolta MD 28mm F2.8, to fill in my Rokkor lens gap. Cost me a measely 40 US Bucks, how could I go wrong? Now I am lusting for the MC Rokkor-X 24mm F2.8, that will complete my Minolta lens collection. And I can also use these on my Minolta SRT SLR's :)

This is fun. I love my Nex.

Hey River Dog..Nice work. I've got the 50 planar as well and was thinking about picking up the NEX to do some digi work. Are the photos you posted on flickr post processed at all or are they straight from the camera?

Monochrome are Sliver Efex conversions with some film effects to match my film versions but that's about all. The colour graveyard ones were tweaked with Color Efex Pro 3 (grads mostly). The other couple of colour ones have not been touched, save for some cropping.

For the price, I don't think you will regret the NEX with your planar.

Some more with the SMC 28mm from today. This is a very handy 42mm with the crop factor.

Not the sharpest but I rather like the muted colours from this lens.
