These pics are from the first few rolls I put through this camera. I did this in a weekend, and am posting them now. I will be posting some wide open shots soon - these are mostly in the f2.8-f16 range. Most are around f5.6. Some are shot with Ilford PanF, some are Tri-X, and some are Neopan 1600. All were scanned with an Epson 3170 at 3200 DPI. None were edited for contrast, etc. I will post the rest of these images in a moment (5 image limit). This is the Nokton 40, not the 50.

scans from negs

yeah, definitely scans. With an Epson 3170 flatbed scanner. Pretty decent scanner. I certainly prefer the scans from traditional film scanners like the Coolscan, etc. But this thing can do 120 and does a great job for 190 bucks US. Tell you what though. . . I want to buy the Epson 4990 because it can do 4x5. Wow, imagine a really nice scan (4200 DPI optical and actual) from a 4x5 slide. Hundreds of megapixels of awesome color and all that!

The 4990 has 4800 x 9600 DPI capability

so yeah, a scan it is.
