I didn't attend the rally -- I live a thousand or more miles away -- but recorded it on my VCR (yes, VCR, not Tivo or DVR.) I then found this dissolve transition, which I captured with my Sony digicam as a screenshot (because the VCR's playback pause is limited to 5 minutes -- you'll see why in a second😉 after which I made a lengthy timed exposure (I think it was 25 minutes) onto grade 2 paper negative in an F350 pinhole box camera, 8"x10" format, as another screen shot.

Multiple format blending. Fun stuff. Originally posted on F295.

PS: The pinhole aperture is smaller than the TV monitor's pixels.
