Nikkormat FT3 on its way to me.
Although I like a lot the FTn, my lenses are mostly AIS Nikon Series E without the prong. So, I had to have the FT3.

I couldn't pass on this early FTn:

Yes, it looks tired and dirty.
In reality, it only needed an external cleaning and a new battery.
All controls are buttery smooth and the meter is as good as new, nor even a single twitch. And the seals have been replace in recent years and are still good.
This camera only reinforces my belief that the infamous "meter twitch" only happens to those cameras that haven't seen regular use or haven't been cared for.

If you look at the top, you'll find something is missing: the thread around the shutter button for the "Leica bell" is missing.
It seems the FT and the early FTn didn't have them.

Very happy and I have a fresh bulk roll of Fomapan 200 waiting to be used. 🙂

Erik, What a wonderful thread! Thank you for starting it and displaying your stunning photos from the 1970s. The London photos are nostalgic for me, as I was there from 1975 to 1980, and at the time was shooting with a Nikon F. I was using Agfachrome, though, not Tri-X, which would have been so much better. If you have more photos from this period, I hope you show them here. As others have said, your '70 s photos deserve to be in a book, if not hanging in a gallery.

Nice pictures. Many pros used them as backup for the F or F2.

I use my Ft occasionally, but prefer the F2 plain prism.
