Photos of the highway

Chris, the depth of the image with those clouds in the second photo is amazing!

Thanks Dave. I think pictures like that demonstrate the advantage of medium format film. I shot it in a Mamiya 645 with Kodak E100GX film. I've done some great color digital photos, like the other two photos (which were from a Kodak DCS 14n that I sold a few yrs ago), but they don't have the same look as the big film transparency does.

Here's another 645 transparency, in keeping with our highway/road theme:

OK. So now I'm sure you're into horses. I thought your profile pic might have been taken with you standing in a horse trailer--I've built a few so I know what they look like--but in this pic your remote monitor shows a blanketed horse in a trailer. Off to a show, perhaps?

Now that's my kind of highway.

Mine's taken in southern Saskatchewan, less than 20 miles from the Montana border and roughly 60 miles northeast of Havre. She was an imposing roadblock. Her calf was grazing just out of the picture on the shoulder of the road and she wouldn't budge. Had to squeeze by on the LH side...

Yep profile taken in a horse box and the posted pic taken whilst transporting a horse to a referral equine hospital in Liverpool for an MRI scan.
It turned out well and horse is OK.
Hired box with a monitor ...very useful.
I have a trailer but a lot in the UK drive boxes ie horse wagons.

Hey Greg Hill--I see that you are a truck driver--good for you!!!
I used to be with Cummins and enjoyed the over-the-road aspect.
Who do you drive for?
You'll have to tell stories at the next meet!
Take care...
