Photos resulting from a "blown shutter"???

Hello everyone,

I'm curious to know what photos will look like if the RF has a blown shutter. Not sure if the terminology is even correct. If anyone has photos that would be really helpful!

this photo has flare from the sun burn in the next several frames as i sat out side in morning sun and exposed several frames into the sun. this was the last frame prior to an increasing flare as the holes grew with each exposure.

They're holes? I've heard of people having lines also... Apparently I have been getting misinformation as one gentleman said that a blown focal plane shutter on a Leica would result in images being "all white".

I don't know what "blown" means in relation to a focal plane shutter. Inoperative? It is true that cloth focal plane shutters in RF cameras are vulnerable to pinholes burnt by facing the sun for a while. I've seen one that sat in a store window and then had about six pinholes scattered about the center area. Of course these let spots of light hit the film...

you can see these areas appear white, and the rest of the film frames had two large areas of splotchy flare in each frame, as the holes increased in size. the above frame does not actually have the hole flares, just the flare from the adjacent frame.
