Hi guys, here are some photos I took during a RF meeting with the Singapore crowd during the Thaipusam Hindu festival last January. We had to meet at 3am
!
B&W Set (HERE) - All photos in this set were taken with a Bessa R2S and w-Nikkor C 35mm f1.8 on Neopan 400 and Ilford Delta 3200, both at ISO1600.
Colour Set (HERE) - All photos in this set were taken with a M6TTL and Zeiss C-Sonnar 50mm f1.5 or CV Nokton 35mm f1.4 SC on Fuji Provia 400X at ISO800 or ISO1600
It was quite a challenge to shoot all my colour photos with slides but I think they came up ok. I am especially please to see how Provia 400X behaves when pushed to ISO800 and ISO1600.
Your comments are much appreciated.
I hope you don't mind the borders, I could not be bothered cropping every single frame...

Hey your signature still says M8...
BTW, these were taken at ISO800 and no post processing, hardly any noise, try to do that with an M8!

Hahaha... D700 + Zeiss Planar 85/1.4ZF
I don't think I need the M8 anymore, I am seriously considering selling it (as well as the Nokton 50/1.1), it just can't compete against the D700 (especially with Zeiss lenses) and I don't need 2 digital cameras.
I am thinking of buying a third Zeiss lens for the D700 but I can't decide between the Distagon 28/2 ZF or the 25/2.8 ZF. What do you think?
I already have the Planar 50/1.4 ZF and the Planar 85/1.4 ZF.

Hi everyone, I didn't know there is such a thread exist.
I am going to jump into this thread.
Downtown Minneapolis, MN
M6 with 50mm Summicron.
Velvia100.
First two were converted to B&W. Love them better that way. Cheers

SLR finally wins? I'll take the 28/2, one more stop to go.
Be good in KL.

I didn't know you'd picked up a D700, Max! I haven't ever shot the M8, but the first time I had the D700 in my hands - at the press conference in Tokyo in July 2008, which I stumbled into - I was amazed - especially with the high ISO capabilities. I have been happily shooting it now for almost a year and the results are staggering. I use all my old manual focus Nikkor lenses and am very pleased. But it is a monster to lug around!
