Very interesting shot, Dingo. Looks like you've fallen for the R-D1!

Yes, it is a devil, but I do find its downside. When use with wide angles, vignetting is quite serious, and crop factor is another issue that keeps me from buying one.

Here I come. These pictures are taken in Auckland in March 2008. My very first picture here in RFF I believe.
The 60s Elmar 50/3,5 is super sharp and the color is great too. I really love it, especially the size when retracted.
Old man & the sea
Some hot FA.
Lady on the streets
Free falling
Hang in there
You know what that means if you are HKer.
Struggling with f3,5 in the dark
One Tree Hill.
Enjoy.
Thanks Max & Colin for your help!

Hi,
Thanks to the rain, I managed to scan some photos of my trip to the South West Indian Ocean. Here are a few from Madagascar, more precisely Diego-Suarez in the North of Madagascar.
FYI, I was working there, I was not on holidays!!!!
All shots were taken with my Fuji TX1, I am sorry for the bad scans (I just don't like scanning images!!!!)
Orangea Pass
Entrance of Orangea Military Camp, these two guys were our guides through the military area.

Baie de Dune 2
Baie de Dune 3

Reunion Island
Reunion Island
Here are some pictures taken during the same business trip but this time on Reunion Island. It is a small island located in the South West Indian Ocean to the east of Madagascar and just 200km west of Mauritius.
Altitude 2300m, at the base of one of the most active volcanoes in the world, Piton de la Fournaise. Some plants are trying to grow between cracks in the solidified lava.
Altitude 1600m, just on top of the cloud cover
Altitude 1500m, for information the cliffs are over 1000m high!!!
There is a small village at the bottom of the valley and no roads leading to it, people have to use a cable car to do their shopping!!!!
Cheers

Obviously all of the above photos are better in larger format.
Critics are more than welcome, I find them pretty good but maybe it's because I have been spending so much time scanning them!

Great photos, Max!
Wow, what a job you have! Madagascar, Reunion... Interesting places to visit, for sure. The TX-1 is really nice for landscapes. I prefer those to the HK street scenes.
I really like the shot in Reunion taken at 2300 meters, as well as Orangea and the Baie de Dune shots 2 and 3. They're all postcard perfect! You've got a great eye, matched by great gear!

I was in Korea recently for biz and after several days of gray skies and meeting after meeting the sun finally emerged on my last day as an old friend whipped me around the city to see some sites.
I guess the colors are what drove me to take the attached shots in a local market...
