Raid, your photos always bring a smile to my face.
Great shots Petronius, liking the detail on the wooden panel.

Grmbl, the Sonnar hasn't arrived yet :(

Great stuff, all. I just got for Christmas a Contax II and a collapsible 50/2 Sonnar, both 1938-39 vintage, so I'm looking forward to the uncoated look! (I have a Heavystar shade I'll use, though.)

Try printing the first picture -the one with the "Großdeutschland" NCO- on a sheet of old paper: anyone would think that it was taken in 1943 from a PK Bildberichter!

When using uncoated Zeiss lenses, I usually mount a shade though.

On Monday, I will get a pre-1945, uncoated Sonnar 85/2: can't wait to try it...

Best wishes,

E.L.

I second this comment. The photos are beautiful and really feel like they were shot in another day and age. Wonderful job!

This was taken with prewar ZI Nettar 510/2. Lens is a Nettar anastigmat 10.5 f7.7 (posted on another forum, but seemed to fit here).
