I just installed the 30-day trial of CS2. I have been using Elements 2.
The Spot Healing Brush may be the best thing ever (at least on my first experiements with my scans).
Now I have GAS for software.
Flippin' 600-quid software, too.

There are ways of legally obtaining PS without paying the amount you quote.
Upgrades are available and if you buy an older package and upgrade it, it is usually much less expensive.
Another alternative is to enroll in a local educational program and buy the "Educational" version, which is exactly the same as the retail software. This is what I did years ago. In the past, the educational version was marked "Not for commercial use" but I understand that has now changed, so you can keep using it after the class for business purposes.
