Photoshop Question

Greetings to PS experts. I wanted to add the copyright symbol (C in a circle) in my photo and could anyone give me some directions? 🙂

Peter, if you're using Windows, you can invoke the Windows Character Map to find most symbols and Western European language characters.

Or you can hold down the ALT key and type 0169 on the numeric keypad of your keyboard, When you release the ALT, the copyright symbol will pop into place.

Gene, I just tried it and it works. What I used was the Alt 0169 method. I tried to invoke Windows character map in PS and I could not find it.

Character Map in Windows 2000 (which I'm running) is found in Accessories, System Tools. I think in earlier versions of Windows it was simply in Accessories.

Joe, when holding down ALT, did you use the numeric keypad at the right (not the numbers on the top row of the keyboard)?

p.s. I just did this with ALT 0169

Joe, in Photoshop you just use the Text Tool. When you add text it creates a layer and you can use the Move Tool to reposition it. Also you have full selecton of font, font size, font col, etc

Gene

Joe, did you merge all the layers (i.e. the text layer) then save as a jpeg? If so, it should have behaved normally.

If there are layers left in it, it will get saved as either .psd or .tif
