Photoshop Running Slow w/Large Tiff Files

Hi,

I am running PS CS3 and PS is running very slowly when I opened large TIFF files (900+MB) resulted from scanning some 6X9 sildes. Does anyone know if there is a way to speed it up.

BTW, I am using Intel E8400, XFX 790i Ultra MB, 2GB DDR3 RAM, 500GB WD HDD and XFX GTX 280 Graphics Card and running XP SP3.

You can try increasing the size of your memory usage in preferances.

Your 2GB RAM should be enough. Try doing what whitecat suggests.
