Hi Folks, this shot is from the 2nd roll through my newly acquired Bessa R w/35mm f2.5. I just wanted to share it with you. It was a gorgeous spring-like day when we went for a walk after lunch last Sunday.

Regards,

Very nice, Warren! You live in quite the "town"! I bet there are lots of interesting photo ops there! I live in quite a dreary eastern Ontario town, nothing at all like SFS! (That is the Golden Gate Bridge, right?)

I doubt you'll be familiar with mine. I live in Uxbridge, which is north of Stouffville, which is north of Markham, which is north of Scarborough, which is north of Toronto, which is north of Lake Ontario, which is north of Rochester.

Thanks Frank. Yes, that is the Golden Gate Bridge. And you're right, there are LOTS of photo oppportunities here. I have a large number of photos of SF, but since most of them were not taken with an RF camera, I guess everyone will have to wait a bit to see more SF shots from my RF stuff.

BTW, I have many relatives in Markham and Toronto. My wife and I were out there about 10 years ago when we did a short rail trip through Eastern Canada.

Your very nice photograph just reinforced what I did two weeks ago: bought a Bessa R with the same lens. I've two rolls through it and am quite satisfied. BTW, I went to grad school in SF. Used to go out on those foggy days and shoot TriX. Always worked.

Well Frank, I've been to Uxbridge, driven through Stouffville, been in Markham, lived in Toronto, paddled my Muskoka-made canoe on Lake Ontario, and am looking to escape Rochester back to the True North Strong and Free. Lake Superior area is where I'd like to land. There are a couple of photogenic spots there....

I feel left out of all this, down here in the desert, no snow, no lake to paddle on, no spring grass.

But pure unpolluted air, intense blue sky, sunsets.

But I'm happy. Ordered the Bessa L with 25/4 from Mr. Gandy yesterday.

Gonna take a look around Canada this summer. Question: If there's a Port Credit, shouldn't there also be a Port Debit?

Ted

So how many good souls actually live in the "village" of Port Credit. I've seen your pics and the place looks quite nice. What is that, a river that runs into the lake?

There are several of us RFf'ers that live in SF. I lived in SF for many years. I couldn't/wouldn't/didin't move too far away. I live in South San Francisco, now.

Ah, Bisbee. I remember that city - I was down that way for a few months courtesy of Uncle Sam in 1991... (school at Ft Huachuca) and I'll admit if I ever do finally get tired of snow that's probably where I'll land. Coronado National (Memorial/Forest) has some wonderful scenic views in it.
