Ive never used any of the film filters and im interested in seeing the results.

I normally post process pictures myself and im too afraid of taking the perfect shot and having it ruined by one of those film filters. I'm still interested to see what they look like though.

I think the film filters would be perfect for shots at a party or event where you're just want to upload them to Facebook.

im looking for straight out of the camera shots taken with the film filters.

Hello Koven: The first day I had the X100, I went to the local woods
and included shots from the three modes (Astia, Provia, and Velvia - left
to right).

I'll have to use this function more to get a handle on why it might be
good (or not).

One thing that REALLY surprised me is the red color of the packsack.
It truly IS a sort of purple-red rather than a fire-engine red, and all
modes NAILED the color.

I also took some with Velvia film and unfortunately it came out closer
to fire-engine red, which was very nice, but NOT the real color. Of
course, that could also have been a characteristic color rendering of
the lens (Super Tak 55/1.8) among the several possibilities, and maybe
not purely the film.

Are you serious?

How about you take a risk, set the camera for film simulation bracketing, and just shoot a few shots in your street? Live dangerously! :)

Some of us can't live that dangerously as we don't have x100 (yet).

A few shots on my street wont give me what im looking for.

Why not shoot raw and then use the in camera processing to create the examples?

I don't really go near the film simulations aside from the default 'provia' setting. I don't want to give Fuji any encouragement to discontinue any more emulsions! :D

Alien Skins

Alien Skins

Sorry I replied with photos from my Tumblr. But my blog is making suspicious wierdness and I'm getting off that site due to suspected hacking. I will try to post examples for Alien Skins Exposure 3 when I put them online elsewhere.
