The All Purpose Ice Company

There are companies selling ice and purified water all over New Mexico. Many towns even have vending machines in the parking lots of convenience stores that dispense water and ice. A lot of people in New Mexico depend on poor quality wells for water, which probably explains the ubiquity of these businesses. This one is on the main highway that runs through Artesia, New Mexico.

Nice image.

Interesting in that Artesia was named for the artesian aquifer and now the town has water and ice dispensers around town. Little oasis in the heat!

This photo makes me want to go inside and sit on a block of ice!:angel:

I like this - colorful. I'm old enough to remember when every small town had an ice house.
