A month ago I got the 21mm F/4 SC-Skopar and today the 85mm F/3.5 S APO-Lanthar arrived... I really like both lenses, just developed my first roll of Tri-X from my S2 that had pictures from both lenses. I know they're the same as their LTM and M counterparts, but it's great to be able to use my 3,5cm 1.8 nikkor and 5cm 1.4 in the same outfit.

Right after I purchased my S3 I bought both of these lenses and love them!!! It was such a nice surprise for me to find that cv was making brand new high quality lenses in Nikon S mount.

I also own and use a 21mm Color Skopar on my S2

I have the full complement of the VC S-mount lenses - very high quality optics and will hold its own against the older Nikkor lenses too.
Try to add the 28f3.5 VC Color Skopar to your arsenal. It is a superb lens - and it has a very distinct look in bl/w. Nicest tonality of any 28 i have ever used.

Tom, I think you've done enough damage. Back off.

I use both the C/V 21 and 85. Lovely lenses. I own the original Zeiss 21/4.5 and a couple of Nikkor 85/2 lenses. But the C/V's are so small, lightweight and high quality that I find myself carrying them daily and leaving the heavy glass at home.
These days the camera bag I carry back and forth to work and social events has a lightweight Nikon DSLR with kit zoom, a 55-200 and a G-35/1.8; a Canon G10, and a Nikon SP with Nikkor 28/3.5; new 35/1.8; and new 50/1.4; plus the C/V 21 and 85.

Well done, Vince. Thanks, that's what I'm going for some examples of how people are using these.

I posted a few shots taken with an SC Skopar 28/3.5 on an SP in the thread below. It's a great little lens!

Although it betrays your signature line, you use them well

Now you're making me wonder if I should get a CV28/3.5 to supplment my W-Nikkor. The 28mm focal length is the lens I use most often. Natural with an S3 or SP and, for me, just the right lens for working with people shots.

Thanks. My signature line is accurate as of now though
I sold all my S-mount CV lenses, and instead now have one M-mount (21/4) and three LTM (28/3.5, 35/1.7, 50/2.5) CV lenses.
You sold your 50/1.5 Sonnar?
