I know this is odd, but my girlfriend and I went to the Hotel Del Coronado last sunday. We
got there and the marine layer was thick. I was taking pics with the Om-10 and she was using the E-500. When we got back I was uploading the pics and noticed what looked like a lady standing by the window. I remember hearing that a woman died there years ago. I
am sure some of you more experianced photographers have seen something like this before,
so I thought I would post this pic here.

Well..to me it looks like you were messing around with exposure. The picture I posted was taken in Program mode and none of the other pics looked like that. I was looking up there when the picture was taken and that is not a hotel room.

you are right. I was messing around. not being a believer in ghosts myself, I am sorry if my posting wasn't received in the spirit in which I put it up on your thread. no intention to offend or poke fun on my part. I'll leave it to others more knowledgeable than I to comment on your ghost (some will offer explanations of various lighting and other anomalies that could give you that image; while some might share your view that "she" indeed is an apparition of some paranormal sort; not my cup of tea. usually when I see something "unexplained" on my pix, it's the result of crud on my lens or sensor). just me here being an irreverent smart aleck. hope you'll accept an apology from me.

forgot to mention, Novem, welcome to RFF. btw, very pretty image you've got on your avatar. are we looking at tail lights with hoods from a 60's chevy or is it something else? great shot with beautiful tonality either way.

looking at your avatar again, Novem, no I'm guessing these are the vent louvers on the fenders of a 50's Buick. Must admit I'm stumped.

I thought that I would get mixed responces on this pic. I like the ones you put up. But after looking at them, I started thinking that you were inferring that it
was a product of exposure or something else? This pic is straight out of camera and I thought maybe some people on here had experiance with photos of their own showing shadows like this.
I did laugh at your pics :D. Its all good.

your flickr pix are gorgeous. I still have no idea what car those ports are on.

re your ghosts, it seems to be some kind of glare-related artifact. the shadow certainly does look like a woman, but notice that down and the right of "her" there is a small halo of light just outside of the window. I think it's a combination of glare from both your glass and the window glass. of course, people who are into ghosts (remember that I'm not one of them) will tell you that the artifact is an orb, as sure sign in their minds that there's a poltergeist in the vicinity. draw your own conclusions. more importantly keep shooting those beautiful images. that car show series is really great.
Here is a link to a local car show I took some pics a month ago. The avatar pic
was a early Custom model if I remember. Here is a link.

Its kind of weird that I did not see anything as the picture was taken, but your explanation
makes sence. Thanks for the complement on the cars. maybe some others have taken pics
with effects like that one.
