I'm using the Fotodiox thumb rest on my pair of X Pro 1 cameras and just ordered one for my wife's XE1. They fit perfectly but I didn't like the fact that there was no pad between the body and the rest as there is on some of the more expensive units. I had some light seal replacement foam so I built up four layers and attached it to the thumb rest. I think moleskin would have been better if it already had an adhesive backing. I'm going to fiddle around with it a little more. I'm hoping that this will take a little pressure off the hot shoe if the camera gets banged on the rest.
