Wonderful as always Erik.
Since all your photos are amazing regardless of gear, I have to ask... How does it compare to TMax 400?

Stunning tonality in all but that first one (lights are a bit deep for my taste) and interesting grain! Are you running in Perceptol and getting this grain?

Eric, nice results.

I picked up several rolls and shot a few and ran some in Rodinal and some in HC110. I wet printed them on Bergger warm tone FB rather than scanning. I'm old school and feel a neg performs best wet printed. It's just my old school bias.

So far I've not seen anything that would make me want to change from HP5 and HC110 B. I felt mid tone separation was lacking and highlights blocked too easily. Reducing development to pull in highlights decreased mid tone separation further. In addition I felt shadows were a touch thin rating it at 400.

YMMV and I'd like to know more about each persons results and see some images of raw negatives in order to judge shadows. Remember I'm wet printing.

A little side note, I'm crazy about Bergger's fiber based papers. They're the best I've used in more than fifty years. They're brilliant and rich but different than papers of the 50's70's.

I really like this film in 120, waiting for a roll of 135 to come back from develop and scan.

Everything Erik posts looks good! No matter film, gear etc

Yep, every photo he posts I say to myself "I really need to try that lens/film/developer..." but then I realise that its Erik and they all look great... so much more to learn.

+1 from me. Ive been loving these papers. I used one labeled CB about fifteen years ago that was fantastic, these new warmtlne ones are really exceptional. I run them in Moersch ECO4812 and Sepia 1 or the Compard Print WA.

It is a completely different film, seems to come from another age. It is sensible for scratches and I had some strange spots for wich I have no explanation. Much more grain than Tmax400, of course, but grain gives a feeling of sharpness, that is why many people like it.

Erik.

Really good work here, Erik. I agree with the others the quality of your work is always consistent no matter what gear / film / chemistry combo you use.

I'm a huge LPD fan and have found it works equally as well in Dektol. Ive done side by side comparisons with Ilford Warmtone FB and Agfa mc111 (have a stash in the freezer). I like the Bergger hands down over the others.

Beautiful sense of light in your image KEH.
