Well, we seem to have a small core of X camera owners. Sug comes to mind as one who has a little pimping going on. Jim is another...let's see whatcha got!
So far, I have only added the 35mm finder, the A&A half case, the Op-Tech finger cuff and the A&A silk strap. Been too busy shooting and researching to do anything else.
Am I happy? Deliriously happy. So much that I know a DSLR is never an option for me anymore, especially after having a couple of gigs lately and could not ask for more!

Today, I found one of these lens cap keepers in the desk. I used a longer string and tied it to the left split ring holding the strap on...It is now on the X1:
Also, I think the cap is a 49mm cap which could be replaced with this generic pinch-type cap and a built in lease.
These can be bought on Amazon for $2.39, and replacing the stretchy part with a longer cord and stickier tape, well, the DIY cap keeper is very reliable and handy. Allows one to use his/her camera like HCB holding the lens cap in the left hand (as shown in another RFF thread, complete with a photo of HCB). I did the same with my 50 Cron on the R4 last year and it has worked out extremely well!

Not in this picture: my leica x handgrip. Sometimes it's good to have a polarizer filter... very practical travel setup really. And dead silent in the street.

Which 35mm finder is that, Dave? I have the Voigtländer 35mm OVF ...
Given my glasses, I might need to go with a 28mm to get the right framing ... this matches about a 40mm FoV for me.

Oh, the VF is a plastic 35mm FSU if I remember correctly. Bought it from Paulfish when I got the IIIF...works well on both!

Just got one of those PIXCO finders that are fixed magnetically - haven't tried it yet but it certainly looks promising. The Delkrin Devices flip-up shade I couldn't get on with it at all and for me it was a waste of space. The problem lay in the glass screen which is an integral part of the shade - just too much reflection from its surface.
On my LX1 I'm using a 'Clear Viewer' which I find very useful - expensive for what it is but it collapses and stays on the camera. Because it fits up to the eye it also stabilises the camera just that little bit.

Thanks for that info John! Just checked all that out.

So, I reckon I will stay with the external VF I have for awhile. Maybe later pick up a nice brightline viewfinder. After trying out some extremely tight framing, I realized that this is not what I do...ever.
I will stick to my old techniques but it was fun trying out something new in the 96*F heat though!

Kinda why I went with the X2: the clip on OVF along with the LCD works great for me (on other cameras) most of the time but when I want/need precision eye level focusing/viewing, the EVF will do the job best.
