I'm currently in the market for a Makina 67 to replace my Fuji GS645W.

Anyways, I'm curious to know how the shutter sounds compare between the Makina 67 and the Mamiya 7. Which is louder? I ask because from what I've seen in videos the Mamiya 7 is very very quiet while the Makina 67 seems a little louder, but this may be to different audio setups and other things.

I've hoping someone who has owned both could shed some light on this.

I know this is a petty thing to think about, but I'm curious!

Oops, this thread may be in the wrong category, my apologies.

Fujifilm GF670. The shutter is simply inaudible. If that is your key criteria, consider that camera. A folder just like the Plaubel is.

The Makina is quite a bit louder than the Mamiya (which sounds much like the GS645), but both are audible. Whether that should bother you depends on the setting you'd use the camera in though.

The GF670 is so quiet, that the later GF670W had to introduce an exposure end indication lamp beneath the viewfinder (as an improvement) to remind the photographer that the shutter had been fired.
