Play with the camera without film

Who doesn't?

I often mess with all my cameras of an evening. Sometimes I get frustrated if they have film in them as I can't fire the shutter and open them up.

As long as you're not doing it naked in the garden I reckon it's fine. 😉

Uh-oh... that's not a good thing?

Okay, you guys are indeed sick...But then so am I...
If and when I fondle my cameras, I will watch in the mirror and see just how cool I look while shooting...You all do this too...sick, sick, sick...I gotta go!!!

At this moment I'm playing with my new olympus 35 RC. 🙂 and thinking about the spirituality of cameras: what is the reason, why cameras are so interesting for us, beyond the optical things and nice pictures.

Now I think simply because you can stop the time and capture the moment which things are probably normal but when we are thinking in a broader meaning the final conclusion for me that we have magical toys.

Only if you get caught I suppose. 😉

Superbus. I like your comment about the magical toys. just don't let bmattock hear you say that!

To tell you the truth I bought my olympus rc 35 after the advices from bmattock and others olympus enhusiats... and I'm afraid this is not my final olympus... 🙂

Be afraid... be very afraid... 😀

On a more serious note...(This may apply to many here too)...
I just love the way a camera feels in my hands...I love the way they look...They are beautiful creations...some are chrome, some black...You can dress them up with different glass and other things...and they stop time!!!
If any of us here were handed a camera, any camera, top of the line digital/film or disposible...50 buttons or just one...we would be able to figure out how to shoot it...without a manual...why??? Because we love cameras...
I also love to watch the world through a viewfinder...up close or wide...color or B&W...laughing or crying...
I think it's hard for others to understand this feeling...They just see a camera, they just take snapshots...they haven't taken it to the next level...Passion...

Mmm, especially when you've got a variety of lenses to play with. Who doesn't love that soft click when the lens has seated properly, and the smooth action on the focus.
