I was able to take my K10D out today and shoot a little with it. I'm working on this small documentary project on the renovation of an old WWII bomber.
Right now, I'm using the pentax as the telephoto companion to my M8. I'm just looking through the images now, but I thought this one was kind of cool. I'll convert it to B&W eventually.
Lens is the 50/1.4 Super Takumar in M42 mount. Shot wide open, or maybe f/2. ISO 800.
The shot was taken over the shoulder of an older veteran, who was cleaning pieces of the frame that holds the cockpit windows in place.

Nice one.
I can imagine it would look very nice in b&w, too.
Best regards,
Uwe

Gotta catch the light.
Nice shot
Nice shot
Quite like the 'feel' of the picture.
Just got a K10D myself - playing around with it to see what it can do too.
Cheers.

Well-known
not too difficult to focus? 1.4 - 2 is a very shallow dof with a 75-equivalent isn't it?

So far, it's ok. Though I am using the pentax 1.2x magnifier, which seems to help.
Before getting this, I was using a 75 lux on my M8. I cant' say the 50 Takumar is any more difficult to focus.
