While I can honestly say Rangefinderforum.com is one of my favorite sites, I must also confess that, for servicing such a 'tech' savvy group, the search function is absolute misery. Using quotes does nothing to further a search and pulling up 30 plus pages of random instances of search words is almost worse than not finding what you're seeking.

Calling up the search options at APUG, you are presented with both the 'house' search engine, which behaves like the RFF engine, and the Google site search. This is much more user friendly and successful at actually finding specific post.

I hope those in charge here will do what they can to add this function to RRF searches.

Cheers

Though it is a slightly cumbersome approach, you can use Google to search RFF by adding "site:www.rangefinderforum.com" (minus the quotes) at the end of your query in a standard Google search.

okay initially I thought .. this is stupid. Then I thought about a search here today. Try and search "jupiter 12" here at RFF....

he has a point! I'm with him on the matter of the site's search function being totally inadequate and more frankly a joke.
