Hello,
I'm looking for a Rolleiflex and i found an interesting add for a 3,5 planar. I thought experts from RFF could help me : there is no serial number on this one - i think the light meter was added later on and the original cap where the serial number is disapeard.

Could anybody tell what model this is ? 3,5 C, D, E ?
Thanks !!!

It looks like a Rolleiflex 3.5e type 1

I agree. 3.5E type 1. I have the same camera with a Xenotar.
Probably originally was without meter and when the meter was installed the name plate was replaced.

It is called 3.5X in Zimbabwe .....!
Not really. What JPD said is correct.
Its lens should be super sharp.

Lovely camera nasdak!

The naming of the 3,5 Rolleiflexes isn't consistent.

The model before this was called 3,5B in Europe, and MX-EVS in the USA. (The 2,8D was contemporary). Then this camera 3,5C and 2,8E with lightmeters were released, and calling them both "E" was a good way of simplifying things by the american importer. But the 2,8 and 3,5 models were a little bit different though (the selftimer and the M/X-switch). The later F-models were identical except for the lenses, so it was logical to give them the same designation.
