I saw a 105/2.5 LTM hsa a light shade in the rear and can be pull out, sorry I do not have a picture, can 105/2.5 owner up load some picture of the rear part of the lens? how is the performance about is lens compare to the SLR version? thanks

The sunshade can be stored "reversed" on the 10.5cm f2.5, just like on the SLR version up to the most recent version (which went to a built-in collapsible shade). The optics are the same as the original SLR version. In 1973 (or so) Nikon updated the formula. The performance of the original version is close to the most modern version. I use the shade from my SLR version of the 105mm F2.5 on my LTM 10.5cm F2.5 lens, and it also stores reversed on it as well.

I am sorry, I did not explain it clear. The one light shade that can be removed or pull out is a small light shade that in the back of the lens not the light shade in the front. when I get a digital camera I will post it.

I used to own one of these lenses in LTM (the older type with two studs around the front for mounting a bayonet-type lenshood) but I don't recall it having any movable shades or baffles at the rear. The Rotoloni book's page on this lens makes no mention of this feature. So, I'll be very interested to see these pictures?

You're sure the movable piece is not simply a ring that has become loose enough to slide around?
