walker, you bet!
i'm surprised at the initial results from the 3.5 and look forward to some more shooting with it. the 35/2 is a contrast machine in comparison.
if i ever get myself organized i want to use all four 35's on one body for the same scene.

Joe, I'd love to see a comparison of the four lenses taking the exact same scene. That should prove to be both interesting and educational.

i think the very low contrast from my 35/3.5 may have as much to do with the haze that is has than anything else.
after taking a much better look at my new lens i found lots of haze inside.
i just finished cleaning it.
with great trepidation i took it apart and cleaned the hell out of it.
there was lots of black stuff coming off onto the q-tips i used.
unfortunately, there is still a bit of opacity that will not come off the rear inside element.
i'm guessing the lens will perform much better now but it will not be at it's best if i can't get that last layer off and cleaned up.
but i still will shoot with all 4 and compare the results.

For what it's worth, Kevin did not sell me the lens because he only accepts money orders from non-US buyers, and I refuse to send money orders because of the potential for fraud. This has nothing to do with Kevin, who seems like a trustworthy guy.
I'm still interested in a Canon 35/3.5 or 35/2.8 (preferably a very clean one, though), so if anyone's got one, feel free to make me an offer.
