Hi group,
I'm new here, and wanted to introduce myself!
I'm from Vienna, Austria, and have been taking pictures for quite a few years now - mostly B&W; I do my own wet darkroom printing, and love to do lith printing. I'm also quite active on a German photo lab forum at www.phototec.de.
My first 'real' camera was a rangefinder - a Zorki 4 - but I really got serious with photography with a Pentax SLR system; later got an MF SLR system - Kiev 60 and Pentacon Six TL, with quite an extensive range of lenses, and at the moment, a Mamiya 645 Super system (I LOVE the 35mm lens!); then got bitten by the Russian bug (I'm also often at the BestStuff RussianCamera User Forum), and got some FEDs, Zorkis, Kievs (my favorites!), an Iskra and a Horizon 202; I also got a few classic 1970s rangefinders and SLRs (Konica C35, Yashica Electro 35, Oly 35RC, Yashical TL, etc.).
While this may sound like I'm a collector, I'm much more into taking pictures - its just that cameras got so cheap since the advent of Ebay, and I want to give all of them a good home... ๐
When I started photography, I did the usual experimenting with all kinds of weird stuff (IR, macro, etc.), then got more and more into classical landscape photography; right at the moment I'm kind of in a rut and can't take any good landscape pictures any more that please myself - I've decided to explore people photography and night photography a bit more, and have used my Kiev 4 quite a bit - though I don't like the squinty finder and the parallax problems when using the Jupiter 9.
I found out about the good deal at CameraQuest for a Bessa R & 35mm lens, and after some agonizing whether to spend the money for that, I ordered one, which is now on its way to me (possibly at the customs office right now... ๐ก )
Doing some online research about the Bessa, I found this forum, that's why you have to read my longish rambling...
Enough of that - I also want to show you a picture of mine (though my scanning abilities are not on par with my darkroom knowledge...)

(BTW, this was taken with a Zorki 6 and Jupiter 12, TriX in Rodinal 1+50).
