I use and adore Capture One but it's for digital cameras not scanners, so far as I am aware.

The SilverFast is, indeed, junk. And I think I'll buy the pro version of VueScan, although I've heard of something called Capture One. Anyone have that?Ted

Capture One is a RAW converter/Editor for DSLRs made by Phase One, nothing to do with scaners.
