well, through some quick decision making (and poor planning) i shot a bunch of plus-x at iso 500 and was curious about times in d-76 1+1.

i was considering adding 2 minutes to the somewhat tried and true d-76 stock time of 7.5 minutes but thought i would run it by the masters here first.

any and all input is greatly appreciated!

What does Kodak say? They are good about giving information for various film+iso+developer combinations. That is where I go for information about all things Kodak.

I can tell you that Plus-X @ 400 in Xtol 1:3 for the time Kodak published for 500 (2 stops underexposed) worked very nicely. So well that it is now my 64-125-250-400 film. Tri-X is my speed film.

Good luck.

kodak has times for d-76 full strength but not 1:1.

i say some shot at iso 500 souped in d-76 and it looked crazy cool so i am giving it a go.

i suppose i will just mix up a new batch of d-76.

I just developed a roll of Plus-x shot at ~500asa in D76 1:1 for 15min 45sec, and my negs turned out pretty decent! I shoot with Leica M2 and mostly without a meter so the 500asa is probably a little off but my aim was to underexpose it two stops.

If I ever get to scan the negs I'll post some samples here or in Flickr.

If the images are important, why don't you take a few pictures at the same ISO with a different roll of the same film, develop that film at your best guess and go from there?
