After my endeavor with Tri-X, getting the feel of the latter, I'm going to dig into Plus-X now. Soon will be finishig my first roll of Plus-X shot at 100 (I guess there is not much difference development-wise between 100 and 125).
What are the recommended starting points for Plus-X in HC-110 at 20 deg.C ? What dillution, times, agitation regime ?
Massive dev. chart suggests 3.5 and 5 minutes. The first one (3.5 min.) doesn't sounds fair somehow, but is 5 minutes indeed a true one ? What does your experience tell ?

With Tri-X I settled on dill. H for 13 minutes (@ ISO 400) or 10-11 minutes if exposed at 200. Dillution B also worked not bad at 6.5 minutes when exposed at nominal (400).

AlexZ, I use Plus-X @ 64 ISO which from my trials is too low. But I have never redone the work with Plus-X to determine what ISO I would prefer. I use HC-110(H), 68 degrees, 13 minutes, 30 seconds then 3 inversions per minute. This would probably produce a darker negative than you would like, but it is what I like. Here is an example using this formula. http://www.flickr.com/photos/carter3john/509661189/

This image has tons of shadow detail as seen though the windows. You can see picture frames on the wall in the room. And you have highlight detail in the sunlight wall.
