I have developed my first rolls of film in Tanol Speed.
I had 3 rolls of Rollei Retro 100 and 1 Agfa Scala, exposed at EI 200 and developed at 24 deg C for 14 mins with 1 minute continuous agitation and 2 tank inversions every 30 secs thereafter. I used only 10cc of part A and B ,as my tank is only 900cc, and from my experience with Prescysol EF, this should have worked. I used only water, no stop bath, and the alkali fix.
The films came out heavily overdeveloped, with decent detail in the shadows (but not excellent), and very heavily blown highlights, high overall contrast, and strangely enough, quite decent sharpness, considering the overdevelopment and frequent agitation. The fog and stain were both on the high side with the Rollei Retro 100, but there was less fog on Agfa Scala, which looks to be very well suited to this developer. I will try to expose somewhat lower, between EI 125 and 160, and cut the development time to 11 minutes. BTW 10:45 was the time indicated at 24 deg C for the APX 100, which should be the same as Rollei Retro, has that not been a mistake on the instruction sheet, to indicate 14 minutes ? Maybe simply a mistype between 11 and 14 minutes? Anyone has had similar experiences ?

I was wandering, if decreasing agitation to 3 inversions per minute would not benefit further the sharpness...

Has anyone tried to develop Plus X in this developer, any idea as to the recommended time?

Marek, I'm wondering if you have managed to get along with Tanol Speed. If so, how it compares with Prescysol EF? I read some favorable reviews on the internet particularly from Erwin Puts and thought I might give it a try. I'm after high sharpness, small and sharp grain, rich midtones and some compensating effect. I though Tanol Speed could be a good fit for Acros, FP4+, HP5+ and Tri-X. What do you think?
