That's really me
This was my most used film for the longest time. I'm glad I shot loads of it. They may discontinue the film but I still have my boxes of Plus-X negatives left. Even Kodak can't take that away...

Nice shots, gentlemen. I too, am very sad to see it go. I still have some 120 that I stocked up on right when Kodak announced that it was discontinuing that size. Another classic film gone the way of the Do-Do Bird...

The best camera is one that still works!
Kodak are fools ... the look of PlusX is way better than the Tmax we're left with after this latest axing. I'm not saying Tmax is bad I just find it a bit clinical.
I'm stunned that Kodak have reduced their 100 ISO black and white offering to one emulsion!
Nice shots so far in this thread ... keep them coming.

I already miss Plus-X in 120 (only two rolls left!). I have a pro-pack in the freezer in 135.

I hadn't shot plus-x for years, but had a chance to last month when I bought a Kodak Stereo Camera. Here are a few (use red/blue or red/cyan glasses to view):

here is my most recent shot with Plus-X
Roll-596-Plusx-iso100-xtol-1+1 dilution, not sure which camera
(either the m4p or more likely the Nikon fm with 50/f2 lens) but
the Sunpak 120J was used.

I feel a little silly sitting in front of my computer with R/B glasses. The images look great though. Were they combined in photoshop?

Emra -- LOL! Funny.
Wow ... I forgot Plus-X had been discontinued. Sad to see it go. Like many have already said, it's a film with lots of character. Glad I bought a 100ft slab of it in 2010!
Here's my contribution. Taken with a Contax G2 and the legendary Zeiss 45/2 lens.
BTW, how do I manage to convince 20-something young women to pose for me in their brassieres? Just wondering.

Well, Freestyle still has 24 exp rolls of Arista premium for $1.89 ... that's cheap so dig in!

Another RFF'er kindly pointed out to me that Hunt's Photo is listing 100 ft. spools of 35mm TMAX400-2 for under $40 on the auction site.
I've now called them directly and ordered 6 spools in two separate orders and paid, well, not much for shipping; for multiple spools it's considerably less than advertised at that site-that-rhymes-with-"flea spray." Expiration date is 6/2013, as received.
This is a really good deal on a great film. As I mentioned above, its resolution and grain are essentially identical to Plus-X (though its characteristic curve diverges), and it's 1.5 to 2.5 stops faster. It's my favorite film, which is why I have 700 feet of it in the freezer (and 700 feet of Fuji ACROS).

You feel silly?
Yes, I did combine two frames with photoshop:
Align left view frame in a layer on top of the right view layer. Set the left view layer to "Screen" mode. In Levels set the green and blue channel outputs to zero (the image becomes red). Then to the right view image layer, set the Levels output of the red channel to zero, and that layer becomes cyan. Flatten the image and Bam! You are done.

Chris101, pretty cool, if I had a stereo camera I would be doing that right now.
