I was just reading a post on nelsonfoto.com about Polaroid Pack film cameras and I thought I would share a couple pictures and info.
I believe these cameras are just about the best deal you can get. I have about a grand total of $20 into my "system". Maybe a little more. What I have for my main system is:

Polaroid Auto 100
A battery
Close Up lens
Portrait lens
Telephoto lens
Wide angle lens
Cloud filter
UV filter
Timer

I have a couple more Polaroids also. I can not resist the classic automatics at rummage sales for a few bucks.

The 667 3000 speed black and white film is great, as well as the 690 color. The color is not good for landscapes. However for portraits it is nice.
My only issue is scanning the film. I have alot of trouble with dust. I have a cheap scanner, also the Kodak scanners at the drug stores do no better. Here are a couple of my better results. I have attempted to remove dust in photoshop and perhaps adjust lightness/darkness. I really suck at photoshop. I was unsure where else to post this so here goes

Nice shots, especially the flower; it's got an ethereal quality to it I really like.

I love the look you get from these cameras, got one myself (model 101). In black and white, you'd be hard pressed to tell if a Polaroid was shot yesterday or thirty years ago.

I still keep a Model 100 at work for documentation work. They just keep going.

Nice shots; Polaroid still produces an instant negative film, although it is not cheap. If you are really into this, and film is not cheap, you might also look at the model 180 or model 195. They have F4.5 and F3.8 lenses respectively, and full manual control. Prices have dropped with digital cameras being so popular.

I did buy a polaroid 800 that was converted to pack film to try the pos/neg film. Ended up not really liking it and sold it back on ebay.

find a "big shot" and impress all your friends. 😀

i have a 195 and all of the accessories. great for lighting portraits. i might even keep it after going digital, which i plan on doing once the olympus e-3 and some shorter primes come out. polaroid is just so neat and fun.
