Polaroid Thread

I'm back home again. In addition to the 370+ Polaroid and Instax prints I digitized just prior to going on my trip, I have a fresh pack of B&W 600 with five shots to go in the Polaroid SLR670x to start with. :D

I shot all my Polaroid Blue Film. Therefore for day 4 of RoidWeek oct 2024 I decided to use one of my three SX 70 with a B&W film.
But we all know things do not always go as we plan...

Here are my two submissions for today 🙃

Robert not sure if you have a technician to work on your SX70 or not. There is drsx70 on instagram that is currently repairing them, I have no personal experience with his services but there are quite a few testimonials on his page.

Thanks James, I'll look into it.

I was only able to find time to shoot one pack of film yesterday. I'm happy enough with that. Of course, I can only add two photos to the Roidweek 2024 album ... so I did ... but the whole set is on my Flickr site. They were all made with the Polaroid SLR670x on a single pack of 600 B&W. I did the scans with a simple flatbed scanner and my SX-70 print fixture, brought them into LR to do IPTC metadata annotation. They are otherwise as shot.

The full set of seven is at Roidweek 2024 Photos

enjoy! G

We were checking family albums yesterday. Twenty+ YO polaroids are just fine. Prior to it we went to Christmassy place and daughter was using her Instax. Two from four came out nice.

I went to Walmart today and they had 600 film.

I think Polaroids are really teaching to think before taking picture. 20 Euros per 8 tiny prints is the divorce gateway.

I think camera we have at home (don't know how it appeared here) is lomography edition. Judging by vertical color badging.

I know “drsx70” personally, he lives here in ABQ and we are both friends of Ethan Moses of Cameradactyl Cameras. He’s done work on my SX70 and I can highly recommend him.

Took the SX-70 out yesterday with 600 Film in it, of course I forgot the filter and adapter, so took 2 shots to make sure the camera was fine and just to see if....

Both not right but have their own beauty....

Leon, your photos have their own charm because of their impressionistic style....specially the second one!

Solomon RIP - The Camera hadn't been used in about 5 yrs and I got 4 pics from the testing 8, this is one, his soul mate Spooky was one of the others, who sadly passed away exactly a year to the day later. [SX-70 ~ B&W SX-70 Film]

Here's Spooky, turned up at the house several years ago on Halloween, hence the name and stayed with us, we looked for a year to find his original owners but nothing, he was such a character, sadly missed.
