What's the general preference on this? I had a look around and couldn't find any guidelines. Is it different for the gallery and w/nw threads (assuming it's hosted elsewhere)? Does no one care? Obviously given the forum it'd make more sense for photos shot with a rangefinder.

They should be reproduced using rangefinder camera :)

Lately this place is much more than RF user base so no one gets banned because of pictures taken by other cameras. Just post great pictures and don't sweat too much about gear.

I used to shoot with rangefinder cameras. I don't anymore but I am still here because of the quality of the photographs that are posted here. Personally, I could care less what kind of gear is used. I am just interested in viewing great photos. We are lucky there are some really excellent photographers on this forum.

For posting in the gallery you do have the option to select the camera type the photo was shot with but you are free not to share that information. When I look at the gallery for the weekly picks I look at the photo and never cared which camera has been used. The camera is just a tool, a rangefinder camera is a particular tool slowing you down a bit. This might have some influence on the style.

Only post the good ones. Everything else is optional. :)

Many years ago at RFF, management gave a directive that pics from SLRs and DSLRs were not suitable for the gallery and posting of such was to be discouraged. Naturally, it got ignored! :D

To the OP: Many of us shoot with several cameras and get excellent results with them. It would be our loss not to show the results from non-RF cameras along with RFs. Who knows exactly where inspiration may come from? You may get some ideas from what you see, know matter how the photos were produced.
