Poll: did you want to sell your x100 after the first day?

I've never met a camera I've had such a love hate relationship with.

Got it yesterday, used it all day and hated it. I swore when I woke up it was going back to the store. Than I decided to give it one more day. Found a lot of work arounds and I'm starting to like the thing.

Does everyone else feel the same way?

From what I've read here over the last few months since the Fuji's release the dissatisfaction level is extremely low compared to the cries of anguish the M8 elicited from new owners when it hit the stores! At least the camera arrived knowing when black should be black! :angel:

The only thing that everyone hates on about the X100 that I can get behind is the MF. Other than that, I find that I like it even more than I expected to.

Ive had mine for over a month now and have shot about 280 images. I really dont like using it and plan to sell it soon.

A day after I got mine I was off to Shanghai for a business trip and had fun with the X100. Of course I fumbled along the way but I really loved the pictures I got with it. Now it's fullly dressed up and firmware updated and loving it more. I know Fuji will keep on updating the firmware until every supposed issues are fixed.

How can you not love this camera with it's looks and did I say it take great pics

It was just a designers dream at that moment.
I looked at the camera and saw Penelope Cruz.
I still feel the same about the camera...

I have had mine for two months now, I am not the kind of person to buy something just to try it. For what I bought it for, the X100 is a brilliant tool, shot nearly 8,000 images on it now.

And boy do I love to say this but I will say it again, the X100 has totally killed any thought of buying an M9 and yes, I have used the M9.

I've only had my X100 a few days but I totally love the camera. Sure it's got some quirks, but nothing that would keep me from enjoying using the camera.

It was really confusing to use at first, but once you play around with it, work around the issues, find solutions, it pays off. Well, it did for me. It's not perfect, the AF is slow and sometimes inaccurate, the MF is unusable, the menus are a pain, the Silent Mode = No Flash deal kinda sucks (then finding out that you can just set the volume to 0 without compromising flash usage is even more frustrating), not being able to slap on a flash and use it without going into a menu and selecting "external flash" is just stupid...

But it's still a pleasure to use.

It's become my main camera. I think I've taken more photos within the one month I've owned the Fuji compared to the 7 months I've owned my Nikon D7000.

Bottom line, with a little persistence and craftyness, the Fuji X100 is a pretty good everyday camera!

Not the image quality: the quality of your photographs... If the X100 is a better tool for capturing the instant, and a tool any good photographer can really trust for moments that won't give a second chance, most people working with cameras and most people creating with cameras will leave Ms and SLRs... But right now I guess it's hard to know if that's really happening or not... There's an X100 wave, but it's too soon to know who's in, and which images are the result...

In a german forum there are 7 X100 want-to-sell ads in the classifieds right now, most of them bought in July. So there were a lot of people to choose option 2 here.

i will shoot mine until the shutter fails. taking it (x100) and a canon S90 on assignment overseas in 3 weeks.

with so many coming up for sale i reckon i will buy a second one!

I had mine for a day but there was way too many things I didn't like about it. To name a few, the camera was too small for my hands. Manual focus was pretty much useless, autofocus wasn't very impressive either. It simply wasn't a camera designed for me. I returned it after a day and bought a Zeiss Ikon, couldn't be happier. In comparison the X100 is like a toy.
