Actually, my first experience after having received my X100 was equally frustrating. I felt pretty stupid at first because the camera didn't do what I wanted the way I imagined it ought to work.
Computer professionals are familiar with the OSI layer model that describes how data communications works. The model consists of seven layers, and when something goes wrong, it's mostly a "layer 8" problem. Guess what that layer is referring to!
After I read the manual about three times from front to back, I am now a happy man.

I've liked mine from day one.

In a german forum there are 7 X100 want-to-sell ads in the classifieds right now, most of them bought in July. So there were a lot of people to choose option 2 here.
which forum would that be?

What kind of assignment, if I may ask? I hope you can show us some of the shots from the project.

Ignore It (It'll go away)
Does everyone else feel the same way?
Nope. I was hooked the minute I saw the thing. Handling it, shooting it, and seeing the results has only solidified it for me. I've been happy with it since day-1. I can't (and won't) afford a digital M, so this is the closest I've come to the RF camera experience in a digital camera. It's near perfect. I agree that the camera is a game-changer, and I can't wait to see what follows from Fuji and other camera manufacturers.
