And if so, do you take it out of its box and/or protective wrapper first?

If it had a Red Dot, I would take it out to dinner first.

He's could be jealous because he only has the poor mans version of the X-100. The Yashica Electro GSN like I have!

Thank you for the laugh this morning. I think any photographer who has enjoyed a favorite camera will appreciate the title of this post.

But with the X-100 you get the best of both. Digital with all those cool vintage Fuji film modes to choose from. I guess the X-100 like having a wife with several girl friends on the side.

Nah - more like a wife with a weakness for dressing up (unconvincingly) as a cowgirl, a policewoman, a schoolgirl, a nurse...

I don't get it... it doesn't shoot film so where's the sex appeal?

Well, I did say 'unconvincingly'.
Seriously, digi's fine, as long as it doesn't pretend to be anything else (especially black and white film). But as soon as it tries to imitate film, off the shelf, it's the neoprene nurse's uniform...

I thought this was a totally serious reference to the X100 ad campaign in Hong Kong, which totally does refer to having sex with your camera. Let me see if I can dig it up - it's gone round the forums once already.
