Ok, so one more poll.
This is for the TITLE baby - or rather the SUB-title.

The title will be Range Finder Photography (as shown here but what we need consensus on is the sub-title).

Please vote on the sub-title you'd like to see.
If there is NO option you like please state YOUR suggestion and we'll swag the results at the end.

Sorry for the messy approach but it's one more thing that it would be great to have wrapped up.

I would like to use my 400th post (nothing wrong with a little self aggrandizement :D ) to vote for "Beyond the Forum". My second would be "Premiere" or "First Show".

yeah, I got here late!
Hey 400 is a milestone for me, and the post counter is proof to my wife that I'm not spending this time trying to pick up some floozy on an internet chat room! :D :D :D

todd,
if it would help i could write you a note...;)

i like 25 photographers - one passion.
didn't even vote for my own idea.

what do you think about 25 shooters-one passion. i've always preferred shooter to photographer.

joe

I'm very sensitive to the association with shooters these days. Especially how it would come up in searches, etc.
Just my own neurotic perspective :)

And I didnt vote for my idea either :)

Joe,
As I sometimes participate in small arms competitions, I tend to keep my "shooting" and "photographing" separate. The last time I confused the two, I got in deep trouble - LOL.
:p

I voted for 'Beyond the Forum'. Gives a sense of action after the words.

I voted "25 photogs, 1 passion". I think that kinda sums it up for me.

I voted for "Beyond the Forum" - it pretty much sums it up, and I like the sound of it :)

I liked First Harvest at first but Beyond the Forum got my vote, its feels like a better title for our project to me...

I voted for 'first show' mainly thinking in the cover photo (which I love!), 'show one' would fit nice too.
Also, if there's going to be a 2nd book, the subtitle should reflect that in some way (show two, show three, etc).
Beyond the forum is also a great idea, as the RFF is in fact the soul of this group...

PS: some statistics, Todd may be still in 400 but take a look at his 'posts per day' field ;) I see you soon saying 'hello' to us from your #2000 post ! :D

There are some good subtitles in the poll and I like the sound of "Beyond the Forum"
and "25 Photographers -- One Passion"

Thinking ahead, though, suppose we do a second or third book? That's where subtitles like
"First Harvest", "First Show", "First Exhibition" provide a natural sequence -- e.g.
"Second Harvest", "Second Show", "Second Exhibition"

If we think a series of books might be a possiblity, I tend to lean towards the subtitles
that can be reused, to make the sequence clear to prospective buyers

beyond the forum might be a little too 'inside', known to us but vague to others, especially those non computer types who might want a picture 'book'.

25 photographers-one passion says it all.

Gene makes a good point about subsequent books as it looks like there will be at least one more :). I also like 25 photographers- one passion, then we could have different volumes.
Joe makes a good point about the Beyond the Forum being an inside thing.

OK, since the poll won't let me change my vote, swag mine in the end :).

I voted for 25 Photographers, One Passion. The cover photograph is excellent and can stand on it's own without a tie-in to the sub-title. That being said, I really like First Harvest too, but I think that would need a cover photo of a corn field or something.
