Tri Elmar 28-35-50 is my favourite lens on my M8.2, but the 15mm is also nice.

This one is easy. I voted for 28mm since I only have one lens (28mm Ultron).

Only have had the M8.2 about a month . . . . .
so far the Summicron 35/2 ASPH has seen the majority of use, then the Zeiss 25/2.8 and also the Voigtlander 75/1.8 has spent some time on the M8.2 . . . . .
I need to get my Voigtlander 50/1.5 on the camera at some point and I would like to pick up (possibly rent) a 21mm in the future.
In the meantime having some fun.

Voigtlander 28mm 1.9
This.
I have a 50mm that needs a CLA, a 135mm that's fussy, and I am expecting a 15mm soon.
For now, the 28mm is my nearly sole workhorse.

By chance I recently came into possesion of a beautiful, new, CHROME
, Elmarit 24mm ASPH.
Prior to that, I'd clearly used the 50 Lux, the most. There could be changes coming with this new addtion, because it really works great on the M8.

25mm Zeiss when I had an M8, now the 35mm Summicron for my M9.

This is my second post on this thread. I now have had more time to spend with my 8.2 and I use my Zeiss 28mm a lot of the time. Sometimes a Zeiss 21mm and Zeiss 35mm. Jim

Probably the most bang-for-buck summicron you can buy

35mm. The Zeiss 35 2.8 is the only lens I own.... for now.
Having just one lens probably solves the question nicely.
It's not so easy for me... I continue to think a 28 Summicron is about the perfect one-lens to carry. While a 21 C-Biogon makes a nice wider companion. However on vacation I took a 25 Biogon and 50 Heliar Classic, and ended up using the 50 more. Weird, maybe, but hard to predict sometimes what will be most useful. And good to have a selection!

One single lens : Minolta Rokkor 40mm CLE or c-biogon 35mm
Two lenses : Elmar 24 and Zeiss Sonnar 50mm

My favourite on the RD-1 is also a favourite on the M8.2: CV 28/1.9. Without filter..

That's my main kit as well (ZM 2.8/25 + 2/50) and I too tend to use the 50 more. If I only take a single lens, it'd probably be the CV 1.7/35.
