it's just hide and seek
The one I have is from my parents and still works very good. Last week I got my first black/white film (Agfa APX 400) and already shot 9 photos with it. I'm very curious how the results will be like.
What are your experiences with this nice little friend?

sitemistic: It has a 1:2,7/38 lens. This webiste here has all details: http://www.kamera-geschichte.de/files/porst_135e_d.htm
It has an aperture automatic and an inbuild flash.

Ah, sorry, I forgot.
Here's a rough translation from myself:
Here's a rough translation from myself:
That's the main details of the text.build-in flash, mixed search-viewer, CdS apperture automatic, shutter automatic 1/64 - 1/360 (note: I think one can not change the shutter speed), lens: 1:2,7/38mm (4-lenses) measurements: 130x78x53mm, weight: 370g. made from the Cosina factory (identical as Cosina 35 FR), build from 1978 on.
With this compact camera you are allways ready to shoot photos. With the build-in flash you never miss any motive. When the measure-needle in the viewer shows the red marking for "less light" simply put on the flash automatic and shoot with flash. A big advantage indoors. Flash is ready after only 6 seconds. For brilliant photos in daylight the PORST 135 E has a CdS-apperture-automatic with combined programm-shutter.

burn the box
It's kind of a simple program automatic according to the specs (1/64, f2.7 up to 1/360, f16). Finder shows the aperture / shutter combination chosen using a scale and a needle. Rangefinder, built-in flash, brightlines, ISO adjustment from 25 up to 400, CdS based light meter, self timer.
Now PORST wasn't exactly the top end brand, but well. I've got no clue how the lens would perform.
I remember my dad gave me something similar like that when I was 12 or so.

Florian, you can't set aperture and shutter speed. It's done "automatically" (program shutter).

I will try to post high-quality scans of the results of my first b/w film with this camera. I could go to the closet and search for old photos from this camera and scan them, they are of course in colour then - since my parents did not shoot b/w with it.

Well, that would be interesting - never mind if they are in colour.

Okay, here's one of some bridge.

If it's still in this shape, then it's a keeper.
