Hi All!
Has anybody ever used a DURST RS35 "Newporter" Portable Enlarger?
Are they any good?
Worth buying?
I'm in the market for my first enlarger and have been offered one for $100... I've been searching high & low for information pertaining to it to no avail. Just curious as to part availability and quality of enlarger as a whole.
Any advice appreciated.
Thanks!

That was one of their smallest 35mm models, for temporary home use. Fairly solid for an entry level item, being from the sixties. But $100 would be extremely expensive - these days that should buy you a high-end 6x6 prosumer Durst (L605 or even L805) with good lens and colour head. The bottom has dropped out of the enlarger business, people don't even try to sell bottom end home grade enlargers any more, and even heavy duty lab grade pro enlargers go below $500 on ebay.
