Is it okay to shoot Portra 160 at ISO 100?😱

You can find many other examples online, like at flickr, but this is a nice article. 160 @ 100 will look a little paler but without losing colours, though it is also a bit situational. It will look very nice. Personally I prefer 400 though because of the extreme versatility push-wise and pull-wise.

Now I will be shooting at EV 14 with the 80 Lux at 1.4 on Saturday, using the 3-stop ND filter of course.

But its not clear whether these were "pulled" or just shot at the lower EI ...were they processed normally as 160 or did the lab adjust the processing? If the lab didn't make adjustments, then they're not pulled.

Many photographers will shoot color negative films at +2/3 stops exposure to get better tones on the negative. Lots of photogs love shooting Porta 160 at Asa 100. You'll be fine.

That's how I've been shooting it for the past few years. Both NC and the new one. You'll be fine.

Thanks, guys...this is great information. I think I will shoot one roll tomorrow at 100. Then a trial roll at 50 next week. Process 'em and compare.

Now, for the really cool part.

For low light (indoors) shooting, can I rate the film at 400 and have the lab process at 160 with good results?🙂

If I can, this lattitude will allow me to shoot the film almost like a digital camera with adjustable ISO.😎
