Ever since Fujifilm announced their discontinuation of the FP100C peel-apart film I stacked up on as much as I could afford and I've used it rather sparingly, until this winter.

I went to a small island I've been many times before in Indonesia and I brought with me probably the worst travel setup one can think of - the Polaroid 600SE along with 15 boxes of FP100C.

I did about 130 portraits of mostly local people. The prints came out great but their reaction when peeling their own portrait unexpectedly became as much part of the project as the prints themselves.
If you want to check it out I filmed most of these shots and their reaction.

It's all on Instagram so I filmed vertically and I'm not sure if its viewable for those who haven't got an Instagram account yet. I know some of you do.

I've kept most of the backing papers that I'm planning to bleach and transform into negatives at some point.

Here's the link to the "Story":

Thanks for sharing, those look really really nice. Although, looking at FP100C prints is a bitter-sweet thing for me knowing that there will never be a thing like that anymore.

Instax is a joke compared to FP100C.

I feel you! I'm glad I could share it with this many people in 2019 though. I got into instant photography quite late unfortunately but I've been looking at mods to use Instax with the old Polaroid cameras. The film is OK but the cameras are junk.

There's still 10 packs left in the fridge but they're getting old fast.

I am wondering how age sensitive this film is? I still have maybe 50-60 packs in the fridge (I bought a lot when it was announced it would be discontinued).

I've heard people say it starts to show aging after about 2 years post expiration date if stored cool. Others have actually stored their Fp100c in the freezer even though it's advised against.

Mine expired in May 2017 and I do occasionally see colour shifts. I'm not sure if it's because of aging though.

I shot a pack that expired 10 years ago and it was completely unusable. Not sure how it was stored though.
I'm not sure if I would want hold on to that much film long after its expiration date unless you're planning to resell it.

No intention to resell... So maybe it will be a FP100 summer this year for me, I guess mine has the expiration date around 2018...
