Possible to add framelines to M6 finder?

Hi all!
I am considering a purchase of an M6 body and I have stumbled upon some units with 75/135 frameslines removed.
I currently do not use either focal length and I probably won't for a long time, but I'm worried about it affect on the resale value.
Is it possible/difficult/costly to put certain framelines back to the finder?
Does the whole frameline illumination window have to be replaced, or is it an easy fix?

well, i'm sure that if they can be removed- tehy can be returned?

I wouldn't worry about it. Get the camera YOU want to use.

From the way DAG explained it, the unused framelines are (literally) masked off and can be restored at a later date.

Exactly...and why wouldn't you just use an external vf?

well... i'm lazy to carry one extra thing and i find that using an external viewfinder draws a lot of attention.
the m6 i eyed is already sold (to someone else) so i'm going to the dealer who offered me a nice m6 ttl at a good price tomorrow~
i'll see you all tomorrow as a leica user. 😉
